Our Process

Taking your company remote, taking your systems remote, or simply trying to relieve on-prem IT overhead?  All are reasons for leveraging today’s cloud solutions. Let JCI help you with your plans to leverage cloud technology. We’re ready to share with you how easy the transition can be – here’s more on how the process works.

Joining Clouds (JCI): Our Process: Discussions

Discussions

Just following a client’s initial inquiry, a JCI Enterprise Architect will reach out to establish a time to virtually sit down and learn more about you, your passion, and what plans you have for your project. Discussions will focus on your current technical assets and how they relate to your product and service offering. The Architect will discuss any current cloud architecture and migration strategies you have in motion, or plan to execute, and then help distill any other considerations or anomalies. The idea is to focus on the organization’s big picture and ultimate goals – this helps strategize more effectively.

Conceptualization

The JCI software and cloud design team really enjoys conceptualizing with clients. This is a time where “passion for the project” is apparent. Ideas fill the space. All kinds of topics are exhausted – how many, which kind, to what extent, and in what way, are all questions asked. After understanding a client’s passion and goal of the project, JCI’s software and cloud design team will conceptualize various scenarios for migrating current assets to the cloud, building the new app, etc. and offer any additional solutions to leverage other associated functionality.

Joining Clouds (JCI): Our Process: Scope Definition

Scope Definition

Both assigned technical staff from JCI and the client will more clearly define requirements regarding scope, timelines, budget, quality, resources, risk, communications, integration, procurement, etc. An approval or hand-shake of sorts takes place at this point, once all have a reasonable understanding of the project.

Development

Approved app design, cloud architecture, and/ or migration plans will move through a development stage where provisioning/ configuring all appropriate systems commence. The majority of the data is moved into place. Systems come on line, security measures and protocols are tested, QA/ QC is heavily engaged to run all applications through rigorous iterations, all demonstrating the new tools can support the intended user-base. JCI then offers a demo and clients are encouraged to test drive all existing infrastructure, systems, tools, etc. Any necessary app or cloud service training is provided at this time.

Production

Once development comes to a close, all technical teams move into a production phase. At this stage, the last incremental portions of data are moved, all new systems are fully functional, and all run with real-time data. If given the green-light, all associated DNS is pointed in a new direction for go-live.

Support

JCI follows up with continued support to make sure all in-house service functions are fully able to support all new cloud technology and tools within the enterprise. If JCI was a part of building your product or service, JCI will always be there to support your team pre and post integration/ migration.
